Our Pizza and Punters event :-)

Our Pizza and Punters event :-)

Earlier this month we announced that we’d be running our first brainstorming and feedback event in Cambridge. Working alongside David from Cambridge University’s Spacefinder (Futurelib), luckily for us David has plenty of experience running events! So… it happened! We had so much fun – so thank you! We met so many new people from such a wide variety of backgrounds. And the feedback was plentiful and extremely useful 🙂

Our users entered a completely relaxed and informal environment, where they had the freedom to stay or leave when they wanted to. To complete the informality, fresh pizza was ordered. So yummy! Everyone […] Read more

Our first mini brainstorming event!

Our first mini brainstorming event!

We are extremely happy to confirmed that WizPar will be co-hosting it’s first public event. We’ll be co-hosting with the people behind the super useful Spacefinder. Ever needed to find the perfect place to study? Then, these guys are for you!

At the event we’d like to show you what we’ve got so far, get your first impressions, and chat about what we should be doing to make it better. Help us, and we’ll give you free pizza. It’s that simple.

It’s always great to meet people who really do love apps and all things software. These like-minded people are so important […] Read more

Fun run with WizPar very close by!

Fun run with WizPar very close by!

Last Saturday saw me getting ready to do a charity family fun run…  To be quite honest it filled me with fear. I don’t run. Full stop. If I must run, it usually involves wasps… So, I agreed to do the run with my two small children. (And fellow mummies).

On the morning of the run, I spent three hours looking for my trainers. Finally located in the corner of a cupboard, covered in cobwebs. Not a few, but a thick layer only seen in horror movies. The trainers seem to scream on meeting the sunlight. I shook them to find […] Read more

Social media has become unmanageable…

Social media has become unmanageable…

The evolution of social media has transformed the way we interact with the world – time, money and distance are no longer a barrier for social connections. This rapid growth has not occurred problem free – social media has become increasingly complex to manage. However, we believe ‘WizPar’ is slightly different…

In the previous few decades we have witnessed a world becoming progressively globalised and complex, mostly thanks to technology. This has proven both positive, for example the exponential rise in cross-national communications and travel, and negative, such as perhaps the paralysing amount of information and choice we are now bombarded with.

The same […] Read more

Let WizPar help you make the most of your 2017…

Let WizPar help you make the most of your 2017…

I think we can all agree that the world has witnessed some astonishing changes in 2016, it has been a dynamic twelve months across the globe: Trump, Brexit, numerous celebrity deaths, middle Eastern conflicts, technological innovation and much, much more – 2016 has definitely not left us short of news to discuss.

Despite all the radical ongoings in the wider world, inside our humble WizPar laboratory the efforts to complete the perfect app continue to propel tirelessly onwards, brains furiously ticking over possible innovations, our mad tech scientists never leaving a glitch unattended. And how exciting 2016 has been…

Aside from the […] Read more

Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas!

Wow! What a year it’s been at the WizPar HQ!

This week we started our own Christmas celebrations with a delicious 3 course meal at The Old Fire Engine Restaurant…  wondering how long the Christmas decorations would stay up in the office whilst we were out enjoying ourselves.

From all of us at the WizPar HQ, we would like to wish you a Merry Christmas and look forward to welcoming 2017.

Ho Ho Ho!

Tea and cake anyone?

Tea and cake anyone?

Back in October we ran a special competition at the Fresher’s fair in Cambridge. Our lucky winner – Haskan from Gonville & Caius College – has just sent us this mouth-watering picture.

It does look yummy Haskan! Thank you for making us all feel so hungry in the office!

Watch out for our next competition in the new year!

One month at WizPar…

One month at WizPar…

And here we are… four weeks in the world of tech and I am still alive – no massive tech meltdowns as of yet, no encounter with any fabled tech badboys i.e. the Terminator (I guess I’m only marginally happier than sad about not meeting the robo Arnie-T… he is a bit of a childhood hero to me).

Rather, the 4 weeks have actually been rather pleasant. The changes I have noticed are all positive and are all thanks to the generosity of WizPar; I now possess more WizPar merchandise, I have a generous array of biscuits to select from, and […] Read more

Office fun…

Office fun…

‘Work hard, play hard’… the popular mantra that decorates cultures across the world.

Here at the WizPar office we have obviously nailed the ‘work hard’ part of the deal (local rumour has it that we have never be seen outside WizPar HQ in daylight… similar to vampires maybe, but obviously less pale and ‘bitey’). However, we decided it was time to pay a little more attention to the ‘play hard’ side – we want to reward ourselves for the gruelling long hours we commit to making WizPar reach it’s full, beautiful potential. We decided WizPar needed a sharp injection […] Read more

WizPar Student Competition Winner…

WizPar Student Competition Winner…

Having had fun meeting students during the Cambridge University and Anglia Ruskin University Fresher’s Fairs, WizPar is now even more excited to announce the winner of our competition.

We are very grateful for so many students taking the time to participate – in total we collected a whopping 248 entries. Thank you to all for entering, but obviously there can only be ONE lucky winner.

Our co-founder, Peter Dawe (pictured above), was handed the responsibility of picking the winner out of a WizPar bag out of all those entries.

We know, the suspense is too much…

And the lucky winner was Haskan from […] Read more
