WizPar at the Cambs Chambers of Commerce B2B

WizPar at the Cambs Chambers of Commerce B2B

September 20th is the date for this year’s Cambridgeshire Chambers of Commerce B2B exhibition at the prestigious Quy Mill Hotel & Spa at Stow-cum-Quy, Cambridge.

The Chamber has been using a dedicated WizPar stream to broadcast event information, including news of speakers & exhibitors, stand availability, etc.

Anyone can access this information, simply by downloading & installing the WizPar app (For iPhone or Android), and subscribing to the “Cambridge B2B” stream.

We’ve even produced a short step-by-step video on how to subscribe here:

The B2B stream sits alongside the Chambers’ public News & Events streams; meanwhile plans are afoot for dedicated “Special interest” streams […] Read more

WizPar announces Cambridgeshire Chambers of Commerce streams.

WizPar announces Cambridgeshire Chambers of Commerce streams.

At a regular informal networking event at the Bradfield Centre in Cambridge on Thursday 19th July, WizPar announced the launch of the first three public streams from Cambridgeshire Chambers of Commerce.

Alongside the two main streams, which will handle Chamber news and events traffic, there is a dedicated “Cambridge B2B” stream, which will come into play in the lead up to the regular Chamber B2B events. A stream such as this will be useful in passing information regarding exhibitors, guest speakers and speed networking events; all of which are essential ingredients for a successful B2B.

All three streams have the option of […] Read more

WizPar – Cambridgeshire Chambers of Commerce

WizPar – Cambridgeshire Chambers of Commerce

Whilst everyone else has been enjoying the football and the tennis, here at WizPar HQ we’ve been huddled away in darkened rooms getting ready for our next public event (Not really – we’ve been enjoying the sport, too!).

Over the past few weeks, we’ve been working closely with the Cambridgeshire Chambers of Commerce, showing them how to curate a range of WizPar streams.

They’ll be using WizPar in a number of ways – using public streams to distribute news to members and non-members alike; and creating dedicated private streams on a range of topics, and across a range of industries, for […] Read more

Too busy to enjoy the sunshine!

Too busy to enjoy the sunshine!

The last couple of months have been very busy here at WizPar HQ, as we’ve been following up on the feedback we’ve received since the Cambridge launch of WizPar at the Trinity Centre.

We’ve been working on several fronts – tweaking the WizPar Dashboard; making background changes and improvements to the WizPar engine, and making significant improvements to the app – both in terms of functionality, and look & feel.

Our favourite new feature is the ability to turn on Push Notifications for individual streams – something our friends at Cambridgeshire FA had asked for. This will allow them to create a […] Read more

The WizPar Cambridge Launch for Publishers

The WizPar Cambridge Launch for Publishers

Wednesday, 21st March will be a day that we are really looking forward to, when we meet publishing businesses and introduce them to WizPar.

There will be a demonstration of the new dashboard and just how easy it is to use to setup your very own streams, so you can get the information that purely interests you. The dashboard can be accessed through our website; simply go to the ‘My WizPar’ section and this will take you straight to it.

We will also be showcasing a few of our case studies, such as Cambridgeshire Chamber of Commerce who recently joined WizPar. They […] Read more

Our 2017 WizPar Student Winner!

Our 2017 WizPar Student Winner!

Our 2017 WizPar Student Winner!

Last month we held the draw to find a super lucky winner for the Afternoon Tea for Two at the DoubleTree in Cambridge. At random, Mark selected our lucky winner Oscar Simpson. Oscar was not only excited but was pleasantly surprised as he ‘never wins anything’. 🙂

Being slightly camera shy, our winner Oscar sent us a brilliant photo from last week, along with a lovely email: ‘Hi, we had a great time, thanks again. Here is the picture of Henry with the afternoon tea.’

You’re welcome Oscar! A big thumbs up from everyone it seems. (Doesn’t the food […] Read more

Lot of exciting news to tell you!

Lot of exciting news to tell you!

We’ve been working very hard getting ready for the up and coming Cambridge University’s freshers’ fair. If you are going to be there, please stop by our stall and say hello. The fair is a great way for us to meet current and new users of WizPar. It’s also a great opportunity to answer any questions you may have directly. We will be giving away some WizPar goodies for you to enjoy, and our annual free prize draw will be running. There’s the chance to win a cream tea for two (within Cambridge). (If you can’t make it, please do […] Read more

Our WizPar winner!

Our WizPar winner!

Last month, when it was certainly warmer… we ran a tasty competition at the Cambridge University Freshers Fair, giving all the students the chance to win a cream tea at the DoubleTree in Cambridge. Yummy!

Our winner was chosen randomly from all the entries – 302 entries to be exact.  We managed to get Mark Turner (CTO from WizPar) to draw the lucky winner. Please notice the concentration on Mark’s face, he took his responsibility very seriously to pick a winner. And the lucky winner was? (Drum roll please!) Oscar Simpson! Oscar was particularly delighted to receive an email from us […] Read more

Fresh from the fair!

Fresh from the fair!

It only seems like yesterday when the WizPar team was last at the Cambridge University’s Freshers’ Fair.  Our WizPar mission to give away goodies and spread the good word about the revolutionary app. Compare to last year, the app has changed so much and the team were only too keen to keep talking about WizPar. (The very early morning starts hadn’t changed!)

So hello to everyone that the WizPar team met! 🙂 You guys were certainly a lively and fun bunch. This is exactly the reason why the whole WizPar team look forward to the event! Same atmosphere with a real […] Read more

Our Pizza and Punters event :-)

Our Pizza and Punters event :-)

Earlier this month we announced that we’d be running our first brainstorming and feedback event in Cambridge. Working alongside David from Cambridge University’s Spacefinder (Futurelib), luckily for us David has plenty of experience running events! So… it happened! We had so much fun – so thank you! We met so many new people from such a wide variety of backgrounds. And the feedback was plentiful and extremely useful 🙂

Our users entered a completely relaxed and informal environment, where they had the freedom to stay or leave when they wanted to. To complete the informality, fresh pizza was ordered. So yummy! Everyone […] Read more
